 Q & A
Can I see my EBS account on-line?
Yes. If you have already received your login credentials click here to log into the EBS Asset Management secure client portal.
If you are an existing client and would like to enroll for electronic delivery of your account statements please contact us.
How do I make a deposit to my EBS account?
It depends on your custodial firm. If you are not sure, please feel free to contact
our Consulting Services associates and they can assist you in this process.
Can EBS provide me with updated tax information
on my account?
Yes, we can provide tax-related information. Please keep in mind that EBS presents
gains and losses for you, your accountant or tax adviser to use in estimating your
yearly tax status. Furthermore, you should use the 1099 received from your custodian for the actual calculation of your tax liability and filing of your tax return.
What options are available to me should I want
EBS to offset realized gains/losses?
Please call if you would like us to offset gains or losses. As a general reminder,
if realized gains are needed this tax year, we can sell relevant positions to accommodate
and then repurchase the same or purchase different securities. If it is a loss that
needs to be realized, we can discuss your options and pursue the one that is most
logical. Also, on the charitable contribution front, there are a number of local
community foundations equipped to receive contributions in the form of securities.
If gifting to a local foundation is one of your annual routines, a gift of appreciated
stock could make sense.
Are you regulated?
We have been a Registered Investment Adviser since 1993, and are regulated by the
U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
How often do I receive performance reports from
EBS?
You will receive quarterly performance reports from EBS which will also include
our thoughts/commentary on the current market environment.
How does EBS charge for these services?
We are a fee-based investment management firm. The fee is typically based on the style of
management chosen and the dollar amount of the assets that we are managing.
Are the fees charged tax-deductible?
In certain circumstances they are; however, you should always consult your tax adviser.
