Such businesses have a competitive advantage that is difficult to replicate or dislodge. Often these companies have dominant market positions, are low-cost producers, and have strong brand-name recognition and pricing power. These companies are capable of generating consistent, above-average returns on capital far into the future with a minimal amount of additional capital needs.

Styles of Management

EBS has over a dozen styles of management. These styles range from all stocks to all fixed income securities.  All portfolios are managed in separate accounts to meet the specific needs of an investor.

While no management style is free from risk, the level of risk associated with each style of management is defined by the amount of stock held in the portfolio. Higher levels of stock exposure typically assume greater risk.  

Allocations to stocks are a factor of a client’s propensity for risk and the Research Group’s assesment of market conditions.
